Leadership and Advocacy
Rebekah has spent her career working with and advocating for individuals in the disability community in Colorado. She is Chief Operations Officer at a local nonprofit organization working to expand access to services for people in Colorado.
As a music therapist, she works to increase opportunities for her clients to have the same quality of life we all deserve. She started a choir for stroke survivors and brought them to perform at the State Capitol as part of an advocacy day for our State Representatives. Rebekah serves on the Colorado State Music Therapy Task Force working to increase access to music therapy services for our most vulnerable Colorado residents through state policy.
Showing up for small businesses
Rebekah's career in Colorado has been spent in the small business and nonprofit sector. She serves as Chief Operations Officer and works everyday to provide the typic of compassionate and forward thinking leadership that Lakewood deserves.
She is an active member of both the South Lakewood Business Association and Alameda Connects and will work to ensure equitable and fair access to COVID recovery programs for all of our small businesses in Lakewood.
Sustainability and Community Connection
Rebekah is an active member on the leadership team of Sustainable Weir Gulch Gardens in Ward 3. She believes that one of the best parts of living in Lakewood is the sense of ownership and community character of each of our unique neighborhoods. Rebekah has worked within her own community to help start the Weir Gulch Gardens Compost Buddies program, organize neighborhood food drives for the Action Center, and encourage more residents to bicycle! We can all do our part to create a sustainable future for our city.
